That's Mint!!!
Proenza Schouler, Marc Jacobs and Louis Vuitton all went mad for mint this season. The soft shade is one of the most wearable for all skin tones and is ideal for Spring. Taking ladylike from prim to modern with this sweet shade is easy. Wear as a more toned down statement colour, this bag works perfectly. Light-wash denim and chunky black boots are a good contrast to keep this look feeling fresh.

Bleak contrast.
H&M collaborations are always something special; Versace sold out within half an hour…even Donatella herself got elbowed out the way! For Spring/Summer ’12 quirky label, Marni decided to have a go. The collection was full of prints from batik to abstract with hints of optical illusion. Fear not wall flowers, seen on the runway this season was contrasting sleeves, this part wool jumper-part leather masterpiece is spot on. Paired with distressed skinny jeans –a staple, layered chain necklaces and a flash of cobalt from these chic sandals, this outfit makes just as a big a statement as the H&M collections powerful prints.

You see right through me...
Somerset House opened its doors to the
fashion event of the year. Crowds and celebs pour in through Seaman’s Hall and
out into the courtyard where the catwalk show space is located. Perspex is a noticeable
trend for SS'12 as models at Dries Van Noten stomped down the catwalk in futuristic
sling backs while at Versace, newbie model Lindsey Wixson took a tumble in a
pair of perspex mega wedges...we can see why! I your feeling quite so brave,
try out this wearable version from Mango. A chunky chain necklace, camel piped
tunic top and metallic colour blocked clutch balance out the sports luxe
influence.

Mauve over!
It’s that time of year again when the fashion elite don their finest ensembles, highest heels and coordinating Smythson diaries. Fashion Week of course. The latest city to be struck by fashion-coma is Paris. Here we saw the innocence and subtlety of pastel colours festoon the catwalks at Givency with sheer overlays and clean lines, and Louis Vuitton who opened with models on a carousel. How’s that for subtle! These Balenciaga structured heels are perfect mixed with a lilac beaded necklace for a take on PFW simplicity. Add distressed skinny jeans and an off-white laser cut bag for 3 Spring Summer trends in one look.

Bubblegum
With spring quickly approaching, the latest season drops are happening across the stores. Whether your into 80s acid brights or candy coloured pastel shades, channeling your inner warrior with Shanghai style prints or keeping it simple with stripes or just staying faithful to ye' old Leopard print, there's a trend to suit everyone.
Pink was a standout colour all over the SS’12 catwalks with the likes of Acne and David Koma channeling girl power. Try updating an oversized blazer from autumn’s masculine trend with a touch of the girliest of shades, be it bubblegum or blossom…think pink.
