Blooming marvelous

Spring is well and truly here, and so are the flowers. A growing trend you might say! Popping up at Mary Katrantzou and Christopher Kane, their blooming everywhere, literally. Make this mirror image, print skirt the focal point and team with a simple white tank and nude strappy sandals. Pick out one colour and match it to your bag. Hot pink works here and is going to be the key colour to be seen in, in the coming months.

Into the wild...

Contrast sleeves are the trend du jour. A new take on block colours in a sense, this top combines wine red and stark black to give a relaxed vibe. Inject some interest with this vintage looking necklace and snakeskin satchel. Ankle boots and skinny jeans are a no brainer of course.

Little Miss Sunshine

Sunshine where art thou? Right here, apparently! Today the sun decided to pop its hat give us a chance to practicing some spring trends. This ombé shirt not only transcends from burnt orange to mimosa yellow, mimicking an afternoon sunset, but ticks the box for minimal tailoring too. Keep things uniform with a camel hued peplum skirt, matching heels and bright clutch. Don’t forget your shades!

Bleak contrast.

H&M collaborations are always something special; Versace sold out within half an hour…even Donatella herself got elbowed out the way! For Spring/Summer ’12 quirky label, Marni decided to have a go. The collection was full of prints from batik to abstract with hints of optical illusion. Fear not wall flowers, seen on the runway this season was contrasting sleeves, this part wool jumper-part leather masterpiece is spot on. Paired with distressed skinny jeans –a staple, layered chain necklaces and a flash of cobalt from these chic sandals, this outfit makes just as a big a statement as the H&M collections powerful prints.

Aloha

Aloha indeed! Spring is in the air and that means one thing…hay fever? No, florals of course. Whether you opt for oversized gardenias or pretty pansies, florals are the all-season print. River Island’s pencil skirt is less than £20 and rivals those by the Prince of prints - Erdem. For a new take on office wear, add a simple tee, coordinating colour pop heels and a neutral bag. You’ll look as fresh as a daisy!
