Somwhere, beyond the sea...
Warming colours are always favorable, as is
our new bff the peplum. A simple way to
work metallics into your wardrobe is through shoes. This block heeled, peep toe
pair is perfect. A neutral colour and shiny accents tone down the pops of
colour from the printed skirt whilst a
tan clutch heats things up.

Chain Mail
Silver, rose-gold or bronze, any metal goes with these necklaces. For the warmer weather, lighter colours work well. A basic tee and embellished clutch balance out the heaviness of the chains while the metallic toe caps reflect the high shine detail.

Sand Man
Silky, slinky and actually quite sophisticated, when worn with the right pieces pyjama pants can rival skinny jeans. As seen at Pucci, Salvatore Ferragamo and The Row, think printed and loose fitting paired with sky-high heels and a sheer blouse it works perfectly for the office. Toughen up the look with this chunky, layered chain, spike bug necklace from ASOS Premium for quirky cool.

That's Mint!!!
Proenza Schouler, Marc Jacobs and Louis Vuitton all went mad for mint this season. The soft shade is one of the most wearable for all skin tones and is ideal for Spring. Taking ladylike from prim to modern with this sweet shade is easy. Wear as a more toned down statement colour, this bag works perfectly. Light-wash denim and chunky black boots are a good contrast to keep this look feeling fresh.

Blooming marvelous
Spring is well and truly here, and so are the flowers. A growing trend you might say! Popping up at Mary Katrantzou and Christopher Kane, their blooming everywhere, literally. Make this mirror image, print skirt the focal point and team with a simple white tank and nude strappy sandals. Pick out one colour and match it to your bag. Hot pink works here and is going to be the key colour to be seen in, in the coming months.

Into the wild...
Contrast sleeves are the trend du jour. A new take on block colours in a sense, this top combines wine red and stark black to give a relaxed vibe. Inject some interest with this vintage looking necklace and snakeskin satchel. Ankle boots and skinny jeans are a no brainer of course.

Bleak contrast.
H&M collaborations are always something special; Versace sold out within half an hour…even Donatella herself got elbowed out the way! For Spring/Summer ’12 quirky label, Marni decided to have a go. The collection was full of prints from batik to abstract with hints of optical illusion. Fear not wall flowers, seen on the runway this season was contrasting sleeves, this part wool jumper-part leather masterpiece is spot on. Paired with distressed skinny jeans –a staple, layered chain necklaces and a flash of cobalt from these chic sandals, this outfit makes just as a big a statement as the H&M collections powerful prints.

Aloha
Aloha indeed! Spring is in the air and that means one thing…hay fever? No, florals of course. Whether you opt for oversized gardenias or pretty pansies, florals are the all-season print. River Island’s pencil skirt is less than £20 and rivals those by the Prince of prints - Erdem. For a new take on office wear, add a simple tee, coordinating colour pop heels and a neutral bag. You’ll look as fresh as a daisy!

Lost your marbles!
Peter Som did it, Zac Posen did it too, even Stella McCartney popped some in. Designers channeled old fashioned ladylike shapes into their collections with the peplum. A super flattering shape on any woman and in black you couldn’t get a better buy. Pep up your look with a sports luxe vest, a zingy jeweled Kurt Geiger necklace which picks up the marbled tones in this classy clutch, and matching tan ankle boots.

All in one
Tweed + a white crisp collar, this Topshop dress has it all. At Oscar De La Renta, Neon yellow was the colour blinding the front row! A more subtle take is this F21 necklace, pop it under the collar for instant zing. Tan accessories are a must.

You see right through me...
Somerset House opened its doors to the
fashion event of the year. Crowds and celebs pour in through Seaman’s Hall and
out into the courtyard where the catwalk show space is located. Perspex is a noticeable
trend for SS'12 as models at Dries Van Noten stomped down the catwalk in futuristic
sling backs while at Versace, newbie model Lindsey Wixson took a tumble in a
pair of perspex mega wedges...we can see why! I your feeling quite so brave,
try out this wearable version from Mango. A chunky chain necklace, camel piped
tunic top and metallic colour blocked clutch balance out the sports luxe
influence.

Bombay Sapphire
Less than a week to go until London Fashion Week commences. This time next week it will be all swooshing of silk HermĆØs scarves, clicking of Blackberry keys, flashing lights of iPhones, and the naturally 5'4 woman looming over her fellow fashionista’s as she miraculously grows 6 inches taller in a space of five minutes, courtesy of Mr. Louboutin himself. If you didn’t quite manage to secure your ticket to the exclusive-industry only-no ordinary people allowed-denied admission unless in over 5 inch heels-ever so converted event, then fear not. This cute pastel crop top and Versace esque print pencil skirt, the ubiquitous print of S/S 12’ will have you on par with the front row troop. All you need is this chunky gold cuff accentuated by the all season colour, cobalt blue.

Mauve over!
It’s that time of year again when the fashion elite don their finest ensembles, highest heels and coordinating Smythson diaries. Fashion Week of course. The latest city to be struck by fashion-coma is Paris. Here we saw the innocence and subtlety of pastel colours festoon the catwalks at Givency with sheer overlays and clean lines, and Louis Vuitton who opened with models on a carousel. How’s that for subtle! These Balenciaga structured heels are perfect mixed with a lilac beaded necklace for a take on PFW simplicity. Add distressed skinny jeans and an off-white laser cut bag for 3 Spring Summer trends in one look.

Bubblegum
With spring quickly approaching, the latest season drops are happening across the stores. Whether your into 80s acid brights or candy coloured pastel shades, channeling your inner warrior with Shanghai style prints or keeping it simple with stripes or just staying faithful to ye' old Leopard print, there's a trend to suit everyone.
Pink was a standout colour all over the SS’12 catwalks with the likes of Acne and David Koma channeling girl power. Try updating an oversized blazer from autumn’s masculine trend with a touch of the girliest of shades, be it bubblegum or blossom…think pink.

Ice Queen
England + Winter = Snow?
Well not quite this year, if you’re missing the crisp white snow and peaceful white flurries we love as snowflakes then why not channel your inner ice queen. The cropped jacket is a wardrobe staple, not forgetting the micro trend of mini bags seen at Valentino and Miu Miu. This one adorned with sequins is so hot...its cold! Finish the look off with this snowflake chain and you'll be one cool customer.

Baby, its cold outside
Just because the weathers dreary, doesn’t mean your wardrobe should be! A little glitz can brighten up any winter day, or night. Team a sequin top with your favorite faux fur for an instant pick me up. Not forgetting a chunky, brass chain bracelet and bright orange clutch, a colour that will see you through to summer and remind you that sipping cocktails on that sun lounger is not far away!
